The True STA1RPT-1G-1G-HC pass-thru refrigerator has a stainless steel exterior front, door, and sides, and its interior back and side walls are made of aluminum. To facilitate cleaning, its interior floor and ceiling are constructed of stainless steel—polyurethane insulation strengthens the unit's structure. Four 5-inch-diameter castors are included to help when staff are moving the unit; for safety, the front set locks in place. Product can be held on three chrome-plated wire shelves that are illuminated by LED lighting. Internal temperatures are externally displayed in Fahrenheit or Celsius.

When paired alongside routine maintenance, the condensing fan motor optimizes the unit's performance. It reverses direction for 20 seconds upon compressor start up, blowing dust, debris, and dirt off the condensing coil's surface. This mechanism helps reduce energy consumption and provide better product temperatures than when the coil is kept dirty.
