For durability, the True TDD-3CT-S-HC draft beer system's exterior front and sides are constructed of stainless steel, and the back is matching aluminum. It dispenses beer from two insulated stainless steel towers that have cold air directly channeled into them – this design ensures drinks do not foam too much while staying cold and bubbly. The stainless steel countertop has an aluminum glass rail to catch items before they fall off the edge. Behind the front grill, the condensing unit slides out for quick access, and all cooling components are kept in a single area, so maintenance access is convenient. Upon start up, the compressor fan motor reverses for 20 seconds, blowing debris, dirt, and dust off the condensing coil. Because the coil is cleaned regularly and automatically, the unit runs efficiently with reduced energy consumption.
